From the Inside Out

 

Conference Description:  The Purpose of this conference is to provide for nurses state of the art practice in the use of advanced invasive and procedural methods to control chronic and cancer-related pain.

 

Objectives:

Explain the use of advanced procedural techniques in the management of craniofacial pain.

Discuss the use and management of intrathecal pump therapy for the management of persistent and cancer pain.

Discuss the use of dorsal column stimulator therapy in the management of persistent neuropathic pain.

 

This continuing nursing education activity has been submitted for approval to the Missouri Nurses’ Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses’ Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Faculty

Barbara Chappuis, RN, BSN is the central area clinical education manager for Advanced Neuromodulations Systems and a member of ASPMN.

 

Susan Anderson, MD is board certified in anesthesiology and pain management. She completed a pain fellowship at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas under Gabor Racz, MD. Dr. Anderson currently practices at Midwest Spinal Pain Institute in Kansas City, Missouri.

 

Gurpreet Padda, MD is board certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine. He is Medical Director of The Center for Interventional Pain Management, St. Louis, Missouri.
